Role Overview

  • Oversee various aspects of MEP quantity surveying and cost consultancy, including both pre and post-contract responsibilities.
  • Assist in the creation of MEP cost estimates and comprehensive cost plans.
  • Contribute to the tendering process by reviewing and analyzing MEP tender submissions, providing recommendations to clients, and advising on procurement strategies for MEP packages.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare financial documentation, and track the status of MEP packages across projects.
  • Support the project leader in ensuring that the MEP package adheres to budget constraints from design through to completion.
  • Execute full post-contract responsibilities, including assessing the impact of variations, completing valuations for MEP packages, and negotiating final accounts.
  • Establish and nurture trusted relationships with clients, consistently upholding the highest standards of professional integrity.
  • Mentor junior team members to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our cost management services.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality cost management and quantity surveying services throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Professionally qualified (RICS or equivalent) or actively pursuing qualification.
  • Possession of a degree or HNC level qualification.
  • Capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in delivering MEP-related work for clients.
  • Established knowledge and connections within the MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below).
  • Commercially savvy with strong negotiation abilities.
