Position Overview

We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Senior MEP Cost Consultant to join our vibrant Real Estate team in London. This role will involve supporting clients in executing projects within our sports and leisure sector.

The position entails managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) deliverables within larger projects or direct MEP assignments such as asset enhancement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be driven, capable of overseeing multiple projects and clients, from establishing initial budgets to post-contract evaluations. This role also includes supervising Assistant Cost Consultants and Cost Consultants within the MEP division.

Expertise in MEP systems and the supply chain is essential, along with a collaborative yet assertive interaction with primary contractors and their MEP supply chain.

The successful candidate will mentor peers, enhance our MEP digital systems, advocate for MEP within the organization, and engage with the MEP community.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include managing commissions, such as:

  • Conducting feasibility assessments and preparing procurement reports
  • Estimating, cost planning, and presenting the final cost plan to clients
  • Managing tendering, procurement, and overseeing post-contract cost variations
  • Performing cost evaluations, valuations, value engineering, and final account negotiations
  • Collaborating with clients and consultants at all project phases
  • Leading a cost management team when required

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality cost management services throughout the project lifecycle
  • RICS or equivalent qualification, or actively pursuing it
  • Degree or HNC level qualification
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in delivering MEP services for clients
  • Familiarity with the MEP supply chain
  • Utilization of digital tools for cost management services
  • Strong commercial insight and negotiation capabilities
