Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our inpatient team, you will work with young people aged 12-18 who are experiencing acute emotional, psychological, and behavioral difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage the needs of patients, developing and implementing individual care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care, promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, agencies, and families to ensure comprehensive support for patients.
- Participate in training and professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote best practice in mental health care.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current Effective Status on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register.
- Relevant experience of working in an inpatient team, preferably in a CAMHS setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing patient needs and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
