Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in East Cornwall. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our clients in their homes, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting clients with their daily living skills, including personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping
  • Assisting clients to access community opportunities and engage in activities that promote their physical and mental wellbeing
  • Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive care and support
Benefits:
  • Competitive rates of pay: £12.36 per hour
  • Time and a half enhancement on Bank Holidays, plus a day back in TOIL
  • Time and a half for overtime, over 40 hours
  • Guaranteed weekly hours from 14 to 36 hours per week
  • Permanent hours available
  • Guaranteed payment of contracted hours, including travel and contact time
  • Mileage allowance: 45p per mile, plus the opportunity to join our car lease scheme after 6 months
  • Annual leave: 31 days (pro-rata for part-time working patterns), with the option to buy extra leave
  • Full training and continuous development provided, including job shadowing, team support, and annual appraisals

Requirements:
  • Full driving licence valid for driving in the UK and a vehicle
  • Current right to work in the UK
  • Understanding of reablement and care provision
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic IT skills
  • Empathy and a passion to support others
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great time management
