Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our pre-construction team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the design process for our construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process for construction projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet the client's requirements and are feasible from a construction perspective.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
  • Manage and coordinate the design team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Ensure that designs are compliant with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the pre-construction team to develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Identify and mitigate potential design risks and issues, working closely with the project team to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the client's business and requirements, ensuring that designs meet their needs and expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality designs and projects.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of designers and engineers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential design risks and issues.
  • Proficiency in design software and technology, including Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong business acumen, with a thorough understanding of the construction industry and the needs of clients.
