Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our pre-construction team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, working closely with our bid team, estimating teams, building services, and design managers to create and submit the best possible bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the bid team to develop and submit bids for construction projects
- Collaborate with estimating teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids
- Develop and maintain relationships with building services and design managers to ensure seamless project delivery
- Oversee the design process, including forensic analysis of design elements and working with internal teams and specialist consultants to overcome issues and develop innovative solutions
- Manage drawings and information control, ensuring compliance with BIM and CDM requirements
- Work with commercial teams to manage RFI's, variations, and other project-related issues
- Take responsibility for the design elements of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of construction processes and procedures
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
