Senior Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our preconstruction team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the design development for bids and tenders, engaging with consultant design teams, and chairing design team meetings.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the design development process for bids and tenders
- Engage with consultant design teams and specialist sub-contractor design teams
- Chair design team meetings and ensure smooth delivery of detailed design information
- Review construction design information for buildability, compliance, and budget
- Manage the preconstruction and build process to ensure timely delivery of detailed design information
Fawkes and Reece is a national main contractor with a proven track record in delivering new build and refurbishment schemes in various sectors. Our Southern Regional office is located in Southampton and has a turnover of circa £130m.
We are looking for an individual with excellent technical and commercial knowledge, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of construction methodology and materials. You will have a proven track record of successful project delivery with a recognised Main Contractor in a Senior/Design Management role.
