Job Overview

We are a small but dedicated team of healthcare professionals, working together to provide specialist Paediatric Diabetes Dietetic services across Scunthorpe and Grimsby sites. As a Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessment, management, and interventions for children and young people with diabetes in various settings.

Main Duties
  • Provide specialist Paediatric Diabetes Dietetic assessment and management for children and young people aged 0-19 years in community and inpatient settings.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support to children and young people with diabetes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
  • Provide education and training to parents, carers, and other healthcare professionals on Paediatric Diabetes Dietetics.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of service pathways and protocols.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • HCPC Registration.

Desirable Criteria

  • Membership of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
  • Membership of the BDA Paediatric Specialist Group.
  • Postgraduate study in Paediatric Diabetes or related areas.
