An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse to take on a clinical leadership role within our paediatric diabetes community team.

The ideal candidate will be a registered children's nurse with a strong background in diabetes care, possessing excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities will include collaborating with the Lead Consultant to develop and manage the specialist service, ensuring high-quality care delivery and adherence to national standards.

The successful candidate will also contribute to standard setting, guideline formulation, and policy implementation.

In addition, they will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote flexible working opportunities that support work-life balance and employee wellbeing.

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Children's)
  • Health-related Bachelor's Degree (or working towards) with significant professional development
  • Diabetes qualification
  • Recognised teaching/mentorship qualification
  • Documented evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable
  • Clinical assessment skills qualification
  • Basic Counselling skills
Occupational ExperienceEssential
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in varied clinical settings, including work with diabetic children and their families
