About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Gardener to join our team at the National Trust. As an Assistant Gardener, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our gardens and grounds, working closely with our Head Gardener and team of gardeners and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planting and maintenance of shrubs, borders, and lawns
  • Contribute to the upkeep of garden machinery and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, answering questions and sharing knowledge about the garden
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results
  • Develop and maintain a practical approach to work, with a focus on getting the day-to-day tasks done
