Overview of the Role

We are excited to present a new opportunity for a Warehouse Stock Controller within our expanding TPS division. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the TPS Warehouse Stock Controller plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficient management of inbound and outbound parts inventory while ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

Stock Management

• Verify all incoming stock deliveries against packing lists and ensure each part is properly numbered.

• Promptly report any discrepancies, marking documentation accordingly.

• Inspect incoming parts for damages and document any issues.

• Identify and place received parts in designated locations (stock items, customer orders).

• Efficiently pick customer orders to prepare for dispatch.

• Ensure all parts issued over the trade counter are accompanied by authorized signatures, receipts, or payments.

• Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) stock management practices.

Inventory Integrity

• Maintain stock securely and in optimal condition.

• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with regular perpetual stock audits to ensure physical stock aligns with computerized records.

• Position fast-moving parts conveniently to enhance picking efficiency.

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional customer service by accurately picking parts and preparing them for delivery runs.

• Ensure that trade customers visiting the TPS Centre are attended to promptly and efficiently.

Systems and Processes

• Comply with health and safety regulations at all times, particularly regarding manual handling.

• Adhere to established business processes and guidelines (including warranty procedures).

• Manage exchange units appropriately and process returns swiftly.

• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

• Effectively utilize and update all systems to carry out assigned tasks.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in the Warehouse Stock Controller position, candidates must:

• Have experience in a parts or distribution environment involving inventory management, goods receipt, and order fulfillment.

• Be passionate about the automotive sector.

• Demonstrate a history of providing excellent customer service.

• Exhibit a positive 'can-do' attitude and a trustworthy nature.

• Be capable of lifting and transporting heavy items.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in computer use, including relevant systems and software (e.g., Excel).

• Ability to work collaboratively in a small team and independently.

• Capable of recording information accurately and legibly.

• Possess a methodical approach with attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
