We are seeking a dedicated full-time Event Management Specialist to support and oversee a variety of events and conferences at the University of Brighton.
In collaboration with the Event Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in organizing diverse student, academic, research, and corporate events. This position requires you to leverage your expertise in venue management, liaising with operational partners, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure that events and conferences meet and exceed expectations.
As part of a dynamic team with a broad scope of responsibilities, the successful candidate will:
Manage administrative tasks for events to guarantee the smooth and effective provision of all event support services across university campuses. Take the lead in coordinating small to medium-sized events. Develop professional communication materials for both internal and external stakeholders, including event schedules, programs, and status reports according to the established framework for each event.To excel in this position, you will possess:
Proven experience in an events or relevant administrative role. Strong organizational and planning capabilities. Excellent written communication skills, including proofreading abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Proficiency in IT, particularly with MS Office applications.The Events and Conferences department at the University of Brighton is responsible for facilitating a wide range of prestigious events and conferences for the institution, as well as managing the commercial rental of university facilities during non-term periods.
