Job Description

Job Title: IT Support Manager

Company: Anglo American / De Beers Group

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to join our team at Anglo American / De Beers Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Technical Customer Services team, providing support for our technical sorting and verification equipment, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Technical Customer Services team: Manage and develop the team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide technical support: Respond to customer inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to technical problems.
  • Develop and implement service strategies: Work with the VP Technology to develop and implement strategies to improve service levels, reduce downtime, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Manage service level agreements: Negotiate and manage service level agreements with customers to ensure that our services meet their needs and expectations.
  • Develop and manage the service lifecycle: Work with the PPTD teams to develop and manage the service lifecycle, ensuring that our services are aligned with our business goals and objectives.
  • Manage resources: Manage the resources required to deliver our services, including staff, budget, and equipment.
  • Monitor and report performance: Monitor and report on the performance of our services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: BSc / BEng in an engineering discipline (or a higher national qualification with experience in a service-related sector).
  • Experience: Proven management or supervisory experience, management training, and experience with Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
  • Skills: Good team building skills, good project management, and a flexible/adaptable/hands-on approach.
