Job Overview

In the role of Lead Credit Risk Strategist, you will report directly to the Head of Credit & Portfolio Risk. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and uphold credit risk standards and policies. This position encompasses overseeing all credit-related controls, as well as identifying, analyzing, and effectively implementing policy, process, and operational modifications pertinent to credit risk management across both regulated and unregulated portfolios.

As a Lead Credit Risk Strategist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the first line of defence's policy adherence framework by utilizing existing processes and data sources while creating new components as needed.
  • Collaborating closely with policy owners and operational stakeholders to proactively identify necessary changes that will support the effective execution of the operating plan.
  • Taking ownership of policy adherence reporting and conducting ad-hoc analyses, ensuring timely and precise monthly and quarterly reports and updates.
  • Working in close partnership with the first line of defence operational teams on strategic process modifications and identifying opportunities to enhance customer outcomes.
  • Ensuring that the suite of operational process documents is efficiently designed to deliver all relevant policies and facilitate the amendment of operational processes as policies evolve.
