Position Overview
We invite you to join our organization as a Lead Credit Risk Strategist. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the management of credit risk within our operations. Your responsibilities will encompass the formulation of credit risk policies, delivering strategic insights to the Executive team, and ensuring effective management of credit risks. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Credit Risk to execute credit strategies informed by data analysis and promote ongoing enhancements in risk management methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular evaluations to pinpoint potential credit risks and propose suitable controls.
- Establish credit risk profiles for presentation to senior management.
- Define and oversee credit risk appetites and critical exposure areas.
- Devise strategies for assessing affordability and valuation across all offerings.
- Partner with the Financial Risk Manager to tackle climate-related credit risks.
- Engage in credit performance analysis and provide insights to Executive and Board committees.
- Ensure adherence to large exposure controls and concentration risk management.
- Monitor emerging credit risks and develop predictive models.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Strong numerical background and analytical capabilities.
- Experience in credit risk management within secured lending environments.
- Proficiency in analytical tools, including SQL and Python.
- Competence in data analysis and research methodologies.
- Effective problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
- Experience in leading analytical teams.
- Familiarity with credit scoring technologies.
