Position Overview
We invite you to join our team as a Lead Credit Risk Strategist. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the management of credit risk within our organization. Your responsibilities will include formulating credit risk policies, providing strategic insights to the Executive team, and ensuring effective management of credit risks. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Credit Risk to implement credit strategies informed by data analysis and foster ongoing enhancements in risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular evaluations to identify potential credit risks and suggest suitable controls
  • Develop comprehensive credit risk profiles for senior management review
  • Establish and oversee credit risk appetites and critical exposure areas
  • Devise strategies for assessing affordability and valuation across all financial products
  • Partner with the Financial Risk Manager to address climate-related credit risks
  • Conduct credit performance analysis and deliver insights to Executive and Board committees
  • Ensure adherence to large exposure controls and concentration risk management
  • Monitor emerging credit risks and create forecasting models

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Strong numerical background with excellent analytical capabilities
  • Experience in credit risk management within secured lending environments
  • Proficiency in analytical tools, including SQL and Python
  • Strong data analysis and research skills
  • Effective problem-solving and communication abilities

Desirable:

  • Experience in leading analytical teams
  • Familiarity with credit scoring technologies
