Position Overview

The Strategic Portfolio Advisor will engage with essential business partners, especially project and program leaders, to execute second line-of-defence delivery assurance tasks. This role involves close collaboration with the Head of Enterprise Planning, ensuring effective communication and travel between offices as necessary. A minimum office presence of 8 days per month is expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive team members and their departments as their 'business advisor' to assist in functional activity planning and align these plans with comprehensive enterprise planning processes.
  • Lead second line-of-defence delivery assurance for the assigned portfolio.
  • Serve as the intermediary between the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and various functions, guaranteeing that initiatives are effectively managed and controlled to facilitate successful outcomes while promoting cross-functional engagement.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all initiatives within the portfolio and ensure precise reporting on the status of these initiatives.
  • Support the ongoing development and updating of the Enterprise Plan.
  • Embody the core values and behaviors of the organization in all daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Portfolio, Program, or Project Management, with a solid grasp of various management methodologies, tools, and best practices, along with experience in a business partnering role within a complex organization.
  • Proven assurance experience, demonstrating significant practical knowledge in designing and delivering assurance for programs and projects within a three lines of defense model.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in product-driven and outcome-focused environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating complex interactions and resolving conflicting priorities, while effectively interpreting intricate technical information.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive improvement initiatives, successfully leading change in dynamic and multifaceted program settings.
  • Demonstrated resilience, initiative, and self-motivation, with the ability to perform well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
