Job Title: Transport Depot Operations Manager

Menzies Distribution Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport Depot Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of two busy depots in Knowsley and Oldham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of depot activities, achieving KPI targets, and driving sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control all aspects of depot operations, including staff development and training.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, including tachograph and driver's hours regulations.
  • Lead and motivate a team of depot staff to achieve excellent customer service and operational performance.
  • Monitor and analyze operational and financial performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing a depot or similar operations environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial understanding and ability to analyze financial data.
  • CPC holder (International) and fully competent in health and safety management.
