ABOUT YOU

We are looking for dedicated Test Engineers who will ensure that customer testing specifications are fulfilled, delivering consistent and high-quality test data punctually to meet demanding client expectations. You should be self-driven and possess a strong desire to excel in a technically challenging and innovative environment, with excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and senior management.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Expertise in test boundary condition management and verification
  • Data consistency and repeatability validation
  • Proficient in using tools such as:
  • ETAS INCA or similar engine calibration software
  • Experience in data management
  • Familiarity with functional or analytical tools, including MATLAB, Excel, and manual calculations when necessary
  • Strong IT skills
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Measurement of engine particulate emissions
  • Combustion analysis techniques
  • Experience with AVL Concerto or equivalent
  • Testing of engine gas emissions
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A Test Engineer is needed to carry out engine performance, emissions, development, and durability projects for external clients. This role will receive technical support from the Projects Director, Test Managers, and Project Support team. As part of a flexible and agile workforce, there will be opportunities to engage in EV and Hybrid projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execution of engine and component testing programs for external clients
  • Understanding and interpreting customer testing protocols and requirements
  • Drafting test plans (i.e., test stages or schedules)
  • Establishing alarm tables and shutdown parameters
  • Creating clear and concise testing instructions
  • Providing daily status updates
  • Reporting component failures
  • Writing end-of-test reports
  • Ensuring that facilities and testing equipment meet client specifications and are well-maintained and calibrated
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with customer engineers to ensure progress aligns with client satisfaction
  • Collaborating with test technicians to foster a professional working relationship, keeping them informed of project developments or changes
  • Ensuring the delivery of precise data with high levels of repeatability and traceability
  • Providing quality-checked raw data, processed data, and reports
  • Adopting a proactive approach to fault diagnosis
  • Opportunities for training and skill enhancement in Hybrid powertrain and EV projects
  • Adhering to the professional conduct expected of Intertek staff at all times
