About the company: At Leonardo, we are offering a challenging opportunity for a Senior Product Assurance Engineer within our Servicing and Support line of business (Advance Targeting) based in our Edinburgh facility. The servicing and support line of business (AT) plays a crucial role in servicing our world-leading radars, lasers, and infra-red countermeasure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert advice, support, and assistance on all Quality Assurance / Quality Control matters
  • Support the Principle Product Assurance Engineer in driving objectives to meet / exceed targets
  • Contribute actively to IPT requirements to deliver a compliant product in a timely manner meeting all cost and safety requirements
  • Support the creation of Project Assurance Plans (PAP) defining project assurance activities
  • Lead the Assurance function's improvement plans
  • Mentor others to grow Quality excellence within the Programme
  • Attend and contribute to key meetings
  • Lead in ensuring concessions / production permits are processed correctly
  • Actively manage root cause and corrective action investigations

Requirements:

  • Further education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing
  • Demonstrate knowledge within the areas of AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous improvement
  • Some knowledge and practical experience of Quality Tools
  • Be a logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions
  • Have good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Customers and Suppliers
  • Experience working in high precision manufacturing environment
