We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our Community Aspirations Team in Hackney. This role involves crafting and implementing a diverse array of community activities tailored to meet the needs of our customers. You will play a vital role in supporting our Community Aspirations Teams (Managers and Support Workers) to deliver exceptional support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and prioritize the needs and preferences of our customers to ensure person-centered support.
  • Design and coordinate a variety of group activities, promoting inclusivity for all participants, regardless of age, gender, or cultural background. Activities may include drama, music, art therapy, social gatherings, wellness initiatives, relaxation techniques, cognitive stimulation, and participation in local events.
  • Collaborate with customers, their families, caregivers, and other professionals to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Facilitate active participation for customers with sensory and physical disabilities.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of community resources available in the area.
  • Create and distribute newsletters, leaflets, and flyers to promote activity sessions and ensure all customers and families receive information in an accessible format.
