Job Overview

Care UK is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising your shift, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and supervise your shift, ensuring that all care staff are working effectively and efficiently.
  2. Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  3. Administer and record medication, ensuring that all procedures are followed accurately and safely.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate any potential risks to our residents.
  5. Work closely with care assistants to support residents with daily needs, promoting independence and dignity.
  6. Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and improve our services, ensuring that we are providing the best possible care for our residents.
  7. Provide a positive and professional approach at all times, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.

Requirements

  1. NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven ability to lead and supervise others, with a strong focus on teamwork and communication.
  3. Excellent organizational and IT skills, with the ability to allocate and delegate work effectively.
  4. A good understanding of care planning processes and procedures.
  5. Experience in administering medication or a willingness to undertake training.
  6. Above all, a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling.
