We are seeking a dedicated and patient Support Worker to join our team at Autism Unlimited. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex care needs, providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to the individual, including bathing, washing, and medication administration.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the individual, understanding their needs, preferences, and goals.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, household chores, and mobility support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the individual's care plan, including progress notes and medication administration.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the individual receives comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a care or support role, preferably with individuals with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
- Valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle, as driving is an essential part of the role.
