Director of Development Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Development to join our team at Peridot Partners. As a key member of our Senior Executive Team, you will play a critical role in generating income to meet our various objectives.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of raising significant income through high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations, public fundraising campaigns, and growing a regular supporter base. Experience in fundraising in the heritage sector is essential.

You will be responsible for producing and delivering a strategy to generate funds for capital projects, develop our existing legacy programme, and grow our local network of major donors and grant-giving bodies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet our income targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations
  • Lead and motivate a Development Team of two
  • Collaborate with the communications team and other heads of departments to identify projects and fundraising opportunities
  • Produce and deliver a strategy to grow our local network of major donors and grant-giving bodies
