Your Role

We are seeking dedicated staff to join our vibrant Activities and Events department within a year-round institution for international students. As a Cultural Activities Coordinator, you will assist the Activities and Events Manager in planning and executing a variety of activities, excursions, and events for our student community. This is a part-time role with potential for full-time opportunities in the future, offering up to 30 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities

  • Guide groups of international students through diverse activities and day trips.
  • Foster an engaging atmosphere during excursions, ensuring top-notch customer service.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all participants by completing and adhering to risk assessments and managing emergency situations in accordance with EF policies.
  • Research excursion locations, conduct guided tours, and share intriguing information and facts with students.
  • Collaborate with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to enhance future activities and provide comprehensive handovers after each event.
  • Support the Activities and Events Manager during large-scale events.
  • Uphold the EF behavior code among all students and promptly report any issues to management.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, energetic, and positive with a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
  • Confident in leading and managing groups of students.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented, capable of using initiative and working independently.
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Customer service-oriented with a focus on quality.
  • Appreciation for and awareness of cultural differences.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Flexibility in work hours is essential.
  • All offers are contingent upon a clear enhanced DBS check and two references.
  • Right to work in the UK is required.
