Role Overview:

As an Activity Facilitator, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and enhancing a comprehensive activity schedule tailored to the needs of our patients, both collectively and individually. This program will be developed in accordance with guidance from the Occupational Therapist, ensuring that activities are aligned with the recovery goals of each individual, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a daily log of activities and interactions with all individuals under your care.
  • Engage in direct, face-to-face interactions with patients for at least 70% of your working hours.
  • Occasionally collaborate with different wards, providing opportunities for additional learning and professional growth.
  • Participate in both internal and external training sessions as necessary to enhance your professional capabilities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in mental health settings is preferred.
  • Understanding of mental health recovery processes and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Awareness of the significance of 'meaningful activity' in the rehabilitation journey.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to patient engagement.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational, IT, and time management skills.
  • A diverse range of hobbies and interests to enrich the role.
