Job Description

Quest Employment is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Controller to join our team. As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for providing effective management of clients' inventory, both physically and on the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve inventory queries, escalating unresolved issues to the Warehouse Team Leaders and processing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as necessary.
  • Collate and key relevant data, ensuring accurate and consistent information across both physical and WMS inventory.
  • Effectively manage the Batch Release process, ensuring inventory is locked and released in accordance with clients' instructions.
  • Manage clients' inventory, including status changes for damaged or obsolete items, and work proactively with clients and the Account Manager to ensure efficient disposal of client product.
  • Address inventory-related client, goods in, and returns enquiries and queries, providing timely and efficient solutions.
  • Creation and maintenance of WMS master data, ensuring relevance to operational usage.
  • Action batch recalls as per clients' requirements, working closely with the Returns Team and ensuring clients are updated on progress.
  • Run various reports to utilize as effective business tools for inventory management, working closely with Warehouse Teams to drive effective inventory management.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of WMS to effectively manage and control inventory.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements.
  • Highlight critical or serious issues to the departmental manager.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties or requests as requested by the Warehouse Management Team.
Requirements:
  • PC literate with a genuine interest in IS systems.
  • Understanding of effective inventory management and ability to identify non-conformance to procedures.
  • Trained in Good Distribution Practice.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems, with WMI being preferable.
  • Understanding of warehouse activities related to inventory management, including goods in, picking, and returns.
  • Proactive approach to client management and issue resolution.
  • Numerate and able to disseminate and interpret data accurately.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative as determined by business needs.
  • Work to time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours to meet business needs.
  • Communication skills of the highest standard.
  • Attention to detail.
