Inventory Control Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee the daily activities of the warehouse team, ensuring efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and direct team members to achieve productivity and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement warehouse procedures and safety standards to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Lead team in warehouse excellence by setting high standards for productivity and quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and control the inventory schedule to ensure optimal utilization of space.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe operational condition and coordinate scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
- Oversee the processes in the area of responsibility, following operational standards (OPS) and KPI expectations.
- Maintain compliance to facility certification requirements and government policies.
- Implement Security, Health & Safety requirements and ensure all employees are trained and aware of their responsibilities.
- Expertise in warehouse management system used in facility & supporting technology.
- Comfortable with statistics and analysis of productivity and KPI performance.
Operations:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for checking and unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with high productivity standards. This role will also involve verifying required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all products are properly counted.
Quality:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will ensure that inbound and outbound shipments are complete and free of damage, and that all products are properly stored and handled.
Documentation/ Records:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion, and will analyze daily, weekly production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Inventory:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will control the inventory schedule and organize physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring that all products are accurately counted and stored.
Equipment:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will ensure the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment, and will maintain all equipment in a safe operational condition.
Safety, Sanitation, Security:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, and will ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities regarding safety, sanitation, and security.
Communication:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will act as a liaison between employees and management, and will communicate industry and brand knowledge to associates.
Qualifications:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will require 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
