Position Overview:
Join the British Gas team as a Customer Service Specialist Apprentice. This full-time, permanent role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills while working towards a Customer Service Specialist (Level 3) qualification.

Role Responsibilities:
As an apprentice, you will engage with customers, providing essential support during their inquiries. Your role will involve:

  • Understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional service.
  • Managing customer cases effectively, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Participating in training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Training and Development:
This apprenticeship combines theoretical learning with practical experience. You will receive:

  • 20% of your time dedicated to structured training.
  • 80% on-the-job learning, guided by a comprehensive development plan.

Work Schedule:
Your working hours will initially be Monday to Friday, with a shift pattern established during your training. The role supports a flexible working policy, allowing a blend of office and remote work.

Customer Interaction:
This position is customer-facing, addressing inquiries related to energy services. You may also engage through various communication channels, including web chats and emails, to meet customer needs.

Continuous Improvement:

Candidate Requirements:
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you should:

  • Be a resident in England.
  • Have or be willing to achieve Level 1 English and Maths, with Level 2 tests completed before the apprenticeship concludes.
  • Not have previously studied the course content.
  • Not hold an undergraduate degree.
