Overview:

Join our dedicated Environment and Sustainability Team at NHSBSA as a Digital Content Designer. This role presents a unique opportunity for a creative professional to contribute to the advancement and execution of our Environmental Strategy.

As a key player, you will be responsible for the development and management of our comprehensive Environmental Management System, ensuring it meets the ISO14001 certification standards. Collaborating with various departments, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing our environmental performance and shaping our carbon management strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of the NHSBSA Environmental Strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Estates Management Team to oversee the carbon management initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant environmental legislation and best practices.
  • Develop and execute sustainability policies and procedures.
  • Establish a reporting framework to track and evaluate environmental performance.
  • Provide insights and analysis to support the NHSBSA's environmental objectives.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development.

Desirable:

  • Membership in a recognized professional body.

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential:

  • Understanding of environmental laws, policies, and standards.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems.
  • Experience in carbon accounting and sustainability practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of government sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
