About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Decisions Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of evidence-based nursing care to a group of patients.
  • Lead and supervise a team of nursing staff, ensuring effective communication and delegation of duties.
  • Provide advice, education, and support to patients and their relatives/carers.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, relatives/carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Recognise, prioritise, and respond to urgent and emergency situations.
Person Specification
  • Registered adult nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Experience as a nurse in charge and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the role.
