About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at Stewart House, a 30-bedded rehabilitation service in Narborough. The successful candidate will provide clinical, managerial, and educational leadership to a team of registered and unregistered nursing staff and take an active lead in the development of ward initiatives to improve the provision of care.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the ward in the absence of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the ward and maintaining the wards systems and standards. The successful candidate will also support and input into the service redesign and work closely with the senior management team to ensure colleagues and service users are represented throughout the changes to mental health services.

The successful candidate will demonstrate they possess the same core values as our organisation, Compassion, Respect, Trust, and Integrity in all aspects of their work. They will also have experience of providing clinical, managerial, and educational leadership to a team of registered and unregistered nursing staff and be able to take an active lead in the development of ward initiatives to improve the provision of care.
