We are in search of a Senior Operations Executive for Morocco with a strong background in upscale dining establishments. This role will be responsible for steering and managing the operational functions of our current and upcoming projects in the region. The position is ideally based in Rabat, with travel required across the area as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:- Enhance and reinforce the company's brand presence within the designated regional market.
- Partner with senior management to formulate performance objectives and long-term operational strategies.
- Establish strategic targets aimed at operational effectiveness and heightened productivity.
- Collaborate with top executives to devise financial and budgetary frameworks.
- Evaluate existing operational workflows and performance metrics, proposing enhancements as needed.
- Design, execute, and oversee daily operational systems and processes that provide transparency into objectives, progress, and challenges for our key initiatives.
- Foster and sustain relationships with all department leaders, external collaborators, and suppliers to guide decisions regarding operational activities and strategic objectives.
- Adhere to organizational policies and standards, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Work in close partnership with human resources to lead the team with integrity, fostering a trusting, inclusive, and productive workplace.
- Set operational benchmarks for cost management, waste minimization, quality assurance, safety, and timely delivery of high-quality food products.
- Recruit, develop, and manage an operations team capable of executing necessary operational and growth strategies while enhancing employee and guest relations.
- Ensure consistent food preparation and the highest standards of food presentation.
- Contribute to menu development—creating, refining, and recommending recipes for staff to ensure a consistent and quality food offering.
- Actively mentor the team and promote their professional growth through coordinated educational initiatives.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for managers and follow up on staff assessments.
- Collaborate closely with the purchasing department on any supply/vendor challenges impacting operations.
- Develop a marketing strategy in conjunction with the Marketing Manager to promote operational business and ensure effective implementation.
- Perform additional duties relevant to this role as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management from a recognized institution, or equivalent experience.
- 7-10 years of experience in the hospitality sector at a managerial level.
- Experience in upscale dining establishments at an international scale.
- Willingness to be based in Rabat and travel frequently as required across our locations in Morocco.
- Fluency in English and French (Arabic is an advantage).
- Experience in budget and business plan formulation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and personnel management.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage operational processes for optimal efficiency and productivity.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
