About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Residence Advisor Lead to join our team at EF Education First in Brighton. As a key member of our residence team, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and comfort of our international students, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of residence management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Residence Manager in running a smooth and efficient residence department
- Ensure top-notch customer service and satisfaction for our students
- Live in EF residential accommodation and oversee the comfort, safety, and conduct of students on and off school hours
- Organize work processes and shifts, delegate duties between residence advisors, and ensure standards of rooms and quality of service are maintained
- Advocate for a fun and lively environment within campus by organizing weekend residence tours, welcoming and departure students, and promoting activities
- Assist with administration tasks, including having accurate lists with important information to support the team and suppliers
- Assist students with general inquiries and take appropriate action in the event of student misconduct, addressing concerns with relevant school staff
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are in place and concerns are shared with relevant school staff
- Follow EF procedures and take responsibility for fire safety
- Participate in school emergency phone duty on a rota basis
Requirements
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
- Approachable, confident, and friendly personality
- Customer service oriented and strong communication skills
- Flexible approach and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Killer instinct, proactive, and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
- Sensitive approach to welfare issues
- Clean background check and two references required
- Right to work in the UK
