Residence Operations Manager

About the Role
EF Brighton is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic team leader to oversee our student residence operations. As a Residence Manager, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for ensuring our international students have a welcoming, safe, and comfortable home-from-home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate students to suitable accommodations
- Maintain the high standards of each residence
- Support your team in addressing student inquiries and concerns
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of staff, including weekend and night workers
- Manage external services and liaise with suppliers
- Efficiently administer all aspects of residential accommodation
- Manage student enquiries and issues
- Communicate effectively with sales colleagues
- Confirm bookings and changes to bookings within our Gold Standards
- Participate in emergency phone duties on a rota
Requirements
- A flexible approach to hours of work is essential
- Experience of managing or leading a team is desirable
- Experience in residence or hotel management or a similar role is desirable
- Highly motivated, energetic, and positive
- Customer service-oriented, friendly, and approachable manner
- Able to remain calm under pressure and diffuse potentially difficult situations
- Sensitive to the needs of international students living away from home
- Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients
- Attention to detail, organized, and thorough
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear DBS check and two references
