Job Title: Quality Assurance Operative

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Operative to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality inspections and tests to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with production and technical support departments to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relevant documentation to solidify quality improvement methods.
  • Coach and support production members on approved assembly processes and provide an interface to other departments to ensure the expedient resolution of issues.
  • Handle non-conformity cases and support factory personnel on initiation. Perform containment of non-conforming parts or products.
  • Facilitate non-standard work events and ensure that all processes are followed to bring the product back into conformance.
  • Inspect and verify material according to specifications or known defects and write non-conformity reports for any defects.
  • Coordinate rework activities for NC parts or products in progress or inventory with Quality Engineer support.
  • Provide an independent quality approval to processes that you are not a participant in the assembly of such product.
  • Facilitate the Form, Fit, and Function testing of identified products. Write NC reports on parts not meeting defined specifications.
  • Support the production line on potential quality issues and provide guidance to specifications.
  • Verify whether the set product requirements are fulfilled before the product is released for storage includes a review of the inspection journal within QDA and verifying that the process documentation is complete. Stamp mark of approval or rejection within QDA. Inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance.
  • Compile and communicate the Quality report and perform the Material Review Board (MRB) meeting daily. Report daily at the morning meeting to brief Quality status from the day prior. Run the MRB meeting to disposition Non-conformity (NC) material and communicate the results.
  • Perform Dispatch inspections in the storage yard to ensure the Quality of the units before loading on the rail for shipping.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • One to three years related production assembly experience and/or quality training.
  • Auditing, quality assurance/control/improvement, statistical tools, 6 Sigma, statistical analysis and SPC preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Set a good example of personal integrity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the job.
  • Use measuring tools and gauges.

Salary Range:$22+ per hour, commensurate with experience with a $3 differential once moved to nights
