About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Strativ Group. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met during the new product introduction phase.
- Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes for new products.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
- Participate in design reviews and provide quality input to ensure manufacturability and reliability of new products.
Requirements:
- Must have 5+ years experience as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, preferably within the automotive sector, though other industries such as marine, aerospace, defense will be considered.
- Proficiency in APQP/PPAP processes.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes and components (e.g., casting, machining, molding, assembly, fabrications) and measurement techniques.
- Understanding of geometric design and tolerancing.
- Familiarity with quality systems, quality tools, and techniques.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with intercultural and interpersonal proficiency.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to support regular domestic and international travel to suppliers/customers (including EU and USA) and holder of a valid driving license.
- Engineering degree or equivalent engineering education qualifications or experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of automotive technology and product development.
- Auditor training to ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards.
- Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
