In the role of Lead Supplier Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with multiple departments to assess supplier development priorities, identify potential vendors, and facilitate the supplier selection process. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating supplier capabilities and implementing enhancements through Lean principles to maximize value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Project Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams
  • Analyze external market data
  • Facilitate the supplier selection process
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities
  • Establish strong relationships with sourcing leaders
  • Offer technical guidance for sourcing and supplier development
  • Lead initiatives to resolve supplier component issues
  • Conduct due diligence assessments and supplier validation audits

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in procurement within the engineering or manufacturing sectors
  • Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Proficient understanding of engineering specifications
