Engineering Course Coordinator – 0.8 FTE total teaching hours

Are you a dedicated and passionate educator eager to enhance the skills and knowledge of aspiring Engineers? If so, we invite you to consider this opportunity. You should possess a robust background in mechanical engineering, welding, and hands-on applications.

This position is perfect for a qualified Engineering educator or an individual eager to impart their extensive industry knowledge. You will bring essential industry skills and experience, along with a commitment to nurturing the talents of students enrolled in both full-time and apprenticeship programs. If you have the technical knowledge and experience in pedagogy but do not yet hold a teaching qualification, we are prepared to assist you in obtaining this. You will be a collaborative team member focused on delivering exceptional quality of work and meeting established performance objectives while striving for the highest standards of personal achievement.

Contractual Details

Salary Range: £23,506 - £38,769 per annum pro rata, based on qualifications.

Working Hours: 828 hours annually for teaching and equivalent professional responsibilities over 198 days, with pro rata adjustments for part-time roles. You will be expected to be present on-site for 34 hours per week pro rata throughout the academic year.

Contract Type: Permanent

Pension Scheme: Teachers' Pensions Scheme

Leave Entitlement: 38 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time) along with additional discretionary days during the Christmas period.
