About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our Student Support Services team at the University of Leicester.

This role is focused on supporting students who have been affected by unacceptable behaviors such as bullying, harassment, sexual violence, and domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case managing students that require support
  • Assessing and managing risk linked to the student case
  • Providing expert advice and support
  • Ensuring timely and appropriate actions are taken
  • Delivering training sessions and awareness programs aimed at preventing unacceptable behaviors
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Demonstrable experience in case management, networking, and collaborative working with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with students and staff while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly in report writing
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a flexible and creative approach to supporting students
  • Proficiency in using IT systems, including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Clear understanding of confidentiality and data protection
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working in Higher Education
  • Knowledge of current legislation and risk management related to sexual violence or duty of care
  • Understanding of the barriers faced by underrepresented groups
