Job Overview

As a Regional Show Producer for Heart in South Wales, you will play a pivotal role in the production and management of our regional broadcasts from our vibrant Cardiff studio. This position demands a blend of creativity, organizational prowess, and talent development.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Regional Managing Editor for Wales & the South.

Key Highlights of the Role

  • Join a leading global Media and Entertainment organization, working with top-tier brands in British radio.
  • Engage in a dynamic live Drive show environment, significantly contributing to the crafting of our broadcast content.
  • Collaborate with the broader 'Global' team, gaining exposure to a variety of exciting projects across the organization.

Success Metrics

In the initial months, you will have:

  • Developed a strong understanding of the Heart brand.
  • Established positive relationships with presenters, optimizing their potential to attract larger audiences.
  • Conducted creative planning sessions with the shows, facilitating the delivery of engaging content on air.
  • Partnered with our commercial team to conceptualize and execute innovative branded content.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor the presentation team to uphold high standards.
  • Support the growth and development of existing talent while identifying and nurturing future stars.
  • Leverage your creativity to generate and implement unique, relevant ideas for the station and its shows.
  • Stay well-connected within the local community.
  • Demonstrate a passion for understanding audience preferences, including music tastes and lifestyle choices, integrating this insight into programming.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proactive, eager to innovate, and possess:

  • At least 12 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing a fast-paced workload.
  • A commitment to ensuring compliance with broadcast laws and regulations.
  • The ability to deliver creative solutions that enhance revenue and audience engagement while aligning with core brand values.
  • Proficiency in digital playout systems and Adobe Audition.
  • A dedication to personal growth and flexibility to cover various programming roles as needed.
