As a Regional Show Producer for Heart in South Wales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the regional broadcast output from our dynamic Cardiff studio. This position demands a blend of creativity, exceptional organizational skills, and effective talent management.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Regional Managing Editor for Wales & the South.
Key Highlights of the Role
- Join a premier Media and Entertainment organization, working with some of the most recognized brands in British radio.
- Engage daily in a live Drive show environment, significantly contributing to the overall content and presentation.
- Collaborate with the broader 'Global' team, gaining exposure to various exciting initiatives across the organization.
Success Metrics
In the initial months, you will have:
- Developed a strong understanding of the Heart brand.
- Built excellent relationships with presenters, optimizing their performance to attract larger audiences.
- Conducted creative planning sessions with the shows, facilitating the delivery of engaging content on air.
- Partnered with the commercial team to design and execute innovative branded content.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the presentation team to uphold high standards.
- Support the development of existing talent while identifying and nurturing future stars.
- Leverage your creativity to generate and implement fresh, topical ideas for the station and its shows.
- Stay well-connected within the local community.
- Demonstrate a passion for understanding audience preferences, music tastes, and lifestyle choices, integrating this knowledge into programming.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 12 months of experience in a similar role.
- Outstanding organizational abilities, capable of managing a fast-paced workload.
- A strong understanding of broadcast law, compliance, and adherence to broadcasting codes.
- Creative problem-solving skills to enhance revenue and audience growth while maintaining brand integrity.
- Proficiency in digital playout systems and Adobe Audition.
- A commitment to personal development and flexibility to cover various programming roles as needed.
