As a Regional Show Producer for Heart in South Wales, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and creating engaging content from our vibrant Cardiff broadcast center. This position demands a blend of creativity, strong organizational skills, and effective talent management.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Regional Managing Editor for Wales & the South.
Key Highlights of the Role
- Join a premier Media and Entertainment organization, contributing to renowned brands in British radio.
- Engage in a dynamic live Drive show environment, significantly influencing the show's output.
- Collaborate with the broader 'Global' team, gaining exposure to various exciting projects across the organization.
Success Metrics
In the initial months, you will have:
- Developed a comprehensive understanding of the Heart brand.
- Fostered strong relationships with presenters, optimizing their performance to attract larger audiences.
- Conducted creative planning sessions with the shows, ensuring effective content delivery on air.
- Partnered with our commercial team to strategize and implement innovative branded content.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the presentation team to uphold high standards.
- Support the development of existing talent while identifying and nurturing future stars.
- Leverage your creativity to generate and execute unique, relevant ideas for the station and show.
- Stay well-connected within the local community.
- Demonstrate a passion for understanding audience preferences, including music tastes and lifestyle choices, and integrate this knowledge into programming.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be proactive, innovative, and possess the following qualifications:
- At least 12 months of experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload.
- Knowledge of broadcast law, compliance, and adherence to broadcasting codes.
- Ability to deliver creative solutions that enhance revenue and audience growth while aligning with core brand values.
- Proficiency in digital playout systems and Adobe Audition.
- A commitment to personal development and flexibility to cover various programming roles as needed.
