Sparsholt College is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our dynamic Farm team as a Farm Worker and Instructor.

This unique role offers the opportunity to combine practical farm work with the rewarding experience of training and mentoring aspiring agricultural professionals.

Your Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging instruction sessions to learners on a range of essential agricultural skills, including:
    • Farm machinery operation and maintenance
    • Livestock handling and care (dairy/beef cattle, sheep, pigs)
    • Tractor driving techniques
  • Actively participate in daily farm operations, assisting colleagues with a variety of tasks as assigned by the Farm Manager.
Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Proven practical experience and knowledge gained from working within the agricultural industry.
  • A genuine passion for agriculture and a commitment to supporting and developing young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective instruction and collaboration with learners and colleagues.

  • Competitive salary within the range of £24,261 - £26,097, commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
