About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to drive key strategic projects and lead improvement initiatives in Adult Social Care. As the Head of Programmes, Strategy, and Improvement, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our ambitious vision: creating a borough where everyone has access to equal opportunities and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Adult Social Care Improvement team and deliver strategic improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and elected members to embed change and achieve service improvements.
  • Oversee the preparation and response to CQC inspections and ensure compliance with national policies.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive strategies that enhance the wellbeing of residents.
  • Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including health and social care sectors, to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Drive forward a culture of co-production with service users and carers, ensuring their voices are at the heart of service development.
What We're Looking For
  • Substantial, relevant experience in senior management within the public or social care sector, specifically in strategy development, programme management, and leading change initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams.
  • Experience managing complex programmes with significant budget responsibility (up to £10M).
  • Deep understanding of adult social care policies, particularly CQC inspection frameworks.
