About the Role

This is a full-time, open-ended contract position that involves teaching, research, and innovation activities within our Sport Management and Sport Sociology Learning and Teaching Discipline Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and support education activities for our Sport Management programmes at undergraduate and master's level.
  • Contribute to the development of research and innovation activities in areas such as sport business analytics, sport technology, and strategic event management.
  • Develop and maintain a strong academic track record in one or more of the following areas: sport business analytics and data science, sport technology and innovation management, sport economics and finance, and strategic event management.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong academic background in sport management, a proven track record of research and innovation, and excellent teaching and communication skills.

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant field and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the sport management discipline.

We particularly encourage applications from academics who can align their research with existing opportunities in the school, such as contributing to the Sport Management and Sport Sociology Research Group and the University's strategic priorities, including women's sport, sustainability, and AI and digital.
