About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Practitioner to join our clinical team at Parcliffe Medical Centre. As a Salaried GP, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, safe care to patients, with a commitment to clinical continuity and continuity of care.
  • Conduct mixed-media sessions, including face-to-face, telephone, video, and online consultations, to cover both same-day and planned care.
  • Carry out home visits for patients, as required.
  • Manage pathology results, medication requests, and clinical administration, with a shared responsibility in the absence of other colleagues.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and duties of the role, with a shared responsibility and allocation with other GP colleagues.
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the practice team, including Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physician Associates, and non-clinical colleagues.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and audit work, as identified.
  • Ensure attention to detail through the use of appropriate coding, note-keeping, and flagging of system issues.
  • Manage and raise safeguarding concerns, in line with practice processes and in liaison with the Safeguarding Lead.
  • Effectively manage long-term conditions and commit to self-learning and continuous development.
  • Support the training of medical students and observational work placements from all clinical and non-clinical disciplines.
  • Support the Partnership in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance services and improve quality of care or service delivery.
  • Support and participate in prescribing incentive workloads and workstreams.
  • Support and participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
  • Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events, applying a structured approach.
  • Support and participate in the practice's approach to infection control and prevention, in line with systems, policies, and direction of the IPC Lead.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of working in UK General Practice.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable groups.
  • Experience of working with diverse demographics and populations.
  • Experience in the management of long-term conditions and continued complex care.

Desirable

  • Experience of using General Practice IT systems, including EMIS Web, Docman, and AccuRx.
  • Clinical Supervisor experience for trainees and medical placements.
  • Being the named GP for a list of patients.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GMC Registered.
  • Qualified General Practitioner (MRCGP or equivalent).
  • Currently on a performers list.
  • Clear enhanced DBS check.

Desirable

  • Evidence of CPD.
  • GP Trainer.
