About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Practitioner to join our clinical team at Parcliffe Medical Centre. As a Salaried GP, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, safe care to patients, with a commitment to clinical continuity and continuity of care.
  • Conduct mixed-media consultations, including face-to-face, telephone, video, and online sessions, to cover both same-day and planned care.
  • Carry out home visits for patients, as required.
  • Manage pathology results, medication requests, and clinical administration, with a shared responsibility in the absence of other colleagues.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and duties of the role, with a shared responsibility and allocation with other GP colleagues.
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the practice team, including Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physician Associates, and non-clinical colleagues.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and audit work, as identified.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of patient information, with attention to detail and use of appropriate coding and note-keeping.
  • Manage and raise safeguarding concerns, in line with practice processes and in liaison with the Safeguarding Lead.
  • Effectively manage long-term conditions and support the training of medical students and observational work placements.
  • Support the Partnership in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance services and improve quality of care or service delivery.
  • Support and participate in prescribing incentive workloads and workstreams, as well as local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
  • Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events, applying a structured approach.
  • Support and participate in the practice's approach to infection control and prevention, in line with systems, policies, and direction of the IPC Lead.

About Us

Parcliffe Medical Centre is an innovative and forward-thinking practice, led by our Partnership of 5 GPs. We are a friendly, professional, and caring team, passionate about providing safe and effective care to our patient population. Our practice is located in purpose-built premises, with a current patient population of around 12,100 patients.

We are a multi-skilled clinical team, comprising 8 GPs (Partner and Salaried), Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, Physicians Associates, Practice Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants. Our team also includes our Management Team, Receptionists, Patient Advisors, Workflow Administrators, Medical Secretaries, and Medicines Management Team.

We offer a range of services, including Minor Surgery, Microsuction, and are one of the Covid Vaccination sites within our Primary Care Network. We are a consistently high performer in relation to our contractual obligations, including QOF and Quality Contract services.
