Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to identify and address emerging mental health difficulties.
- Represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of mental health needs and develop effective plans for support.
- Deliver training programs for schools and community services to promote mental health awareness and early intervention strategies.
- Maintain high standards of care and ensure timely assessments and interventions for children and young people.
- Liaise effectively with CAMHS pathways across the city to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with children, young people, families, and healthcare professionals.
We are looking for a qualified professional with a core qualification in mental health, such as nursing, social work, or occupational therapy, and at least one year of experience working with children and young people in mental health. Postgraduate training in methods of working with children with mental health problems is desirable.
As a CAMHS Early Intervention Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing of children and young people with a drive for early intervention. You will work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to identify and address emerging mental health difficulties, and represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of mental health needs and develop effective plans for support.
You will deliver training programs for schools and community services to promote mental health awareness and early intervention strategies, maintain high standards of care, and ensure timely assessments and interventions for children and young people. You will also liaise effectively with CAMHS pathways across the city to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with children, young people, families, and healthcare professionals.
