Stateside Foods is seeking a dedicated and organized Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team.

In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the Health, Safety & Sustainability department, ensuring smooth operations and a safe working environment for all employees.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with the health & safety team, offering assistance and guidance to colleagues.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Deputy Health and Safety Manager, including:
    • Managing departmental KPIs and generating weekly reports.
    • Reviewing and communicating Site Action Plans and near misses.
    • Assisting with accident and incident administration.
    • Completing Freiberger Reports for absence and lost time.
  • Create and update safety posters, site noticeboards, and First Aider information.
  • Support departmental site inspections, including First Aid Room, Steps & Stair, Lighting, Fire Evacuation Tests, Harness, Spill Kit, and Ladder inspections.
  • Assist with the organization and administration of Occupational Health assessments.
  • Contribute to updating various risk assessments.
  • Provide support for projects involving new buildings, machinery, or programs.
  • Raise purchase orders and manage equipment procurement from suppliers.
  • Assist with health & safety strategic projects.
  • Support sustainability administration duties, including:
    • Inputting departmental KPIs for weekly meetings.
    • Processing invoices from energy and water suppliers.
    • Maintaining accurate data on energy and water services.
    • Assisting with internal and external audits.
    • Contributing to company reports for stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings as required to fulfill duties.
  • Adhere to the company's Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Food Safety policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A professional and courteous telephone manner.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and health & safety.
  • Previous experience in a health & safety administration role.
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation and requirements.
